The Indian Head Wobble

It's contagious

We wrote about the Indian Head Wobble in our last email to our friends and family, and after some initial positive responses (Jacob), we thought it would be worthwhile to make a blog entry specifically about it.

Indians are renowned for their charismatic head wobble. Needless to say, we have grown very fond of the Indian Head Wobble. The Indian Head Wobble involves wiggling or wobbling the head from side to side. The gesture is used in various settings; in acknowledgement of someone, to show pleasure or acquiescence, to say ok, to show pensiveness...the list goes on.

Every time an Indian wobbles their head at us, we get very excited. Needless to say, we've been eagerly practicing our head wobble to reciprocate the love, but as of yet, we are still pathetic amateurs.

Check out our instructional head wobble video. Here we find a professional and an amateur demonstrating the art of the wobble. Try it at home, but we are not responsible for any neck injuries or weird stares from onlookers.
